Attending the reception ceremony on the Korean side were Coast Guard Commander Kim Jong Uk; Director of the Terrorism Information Integration Center Park Jong Min; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam Choi Yong Sam and a number of relevant Korean departments in Vietnam.

On the Vietnamese side, there were Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security; Major General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Comrade Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee and representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, said that over the past time, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea has achieved strong, extensive and substantial development in all fields, especially in the field of law enforcement.
In October 2023, after the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Korean Coast Guard signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, the Korean Coast Guard transferred 2 high-speed boats and 2 jet skis to the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security. At the same time, a delegation of experts was sent to survey and organize training to improve the professional capacity of the Ministry of Public Security in the field of water police.

After receiving the 110-ton and 25-ton patrol boats this time, the vehicles will be used effectively in training to improve the capacity of the water police force, especially the ability to patrol coastal and inland waters to prevent and combat crimes on rivers; the active cooperation of the Korean Coast Guard in strengthening friendly relations is a premise for the next cooperation projects between the two agencies - the Minister of Public Security commented.
Mr. Choi Yong Sam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea over the years, including cooperation in maritime security. Mr. Choi Yong Sam affirmed that the Republic of Korea always wishes to contribute with Vietnam to maintain stability and ensure security and order along the length of Vietnam's coastline.
