Kiev officials added that the night attack was complex, with drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles launched from different directions.

“It was special in terms of density: the maximum number of missiles attacked in the shortest period of time,” Serhiy Popko, head of the Kiev city military administration, said in a comment posted on the Telegram messaging app.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said in a tweet that "our sky defenders shot down six Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and 12 other missiles" during the Russian attacks.
Kiev's mayor, former boxer Vitali Klitschko, said earlier that falling debris had set several cars on fire and damaged a building in the Solomyanskyi district in the west of the capital, which appeared to be the worst hit with three people injured.
After a week-long hiatus, Russia resumed its long-range missile air campaign in late April and has carried out a series of attacks in recent days, often targeting Kiev.
The latest attacks came just hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy returned from a European tour seeking new arms and financial aid for a counter-offensive in the conflict with Russia.
