'Adversity' of Vietnamese film actors

Vietnamese film directors have their own reasons for choosing actors for these roles. But how to reconcile the "ironic" age difference in real life requires great effort from the makeup department and the acting skills of the actors.

Mother is 9 years younger than her child

But perhaps the case of the movie Love Again (currently airing on THVL1 channel) is quite special. Singer Nguyen Vu plays the role of Nhat Lam - Mrs. An's eldest son - played by actor Phuc An. In real life, Nguyen Vu was born in 1975. Phuc An was born in 1984. She is 9 years younger than Nguyen Vu.

Recently, the fanpage of actor Trung Ruoi wondered: "Tran Nghia and I are the same age, both born in the year of the rooster. But in the movie My father, who stayed behind, Director Vu Truong Khoa let me play the role of an uncle, about the same age as Nghia's father, and Nghia played the role of a high school student. When actor Trung Ruoi's question was put in the corner by VTV3 fanpage Actors ask, audience answers received 1,300 responses.

Director Nguyen Phuong Dien also shared: " Mother of the sea is a 20-year story. The actors go through two periods. The film uses makeup techniques to suit the age.

I don't want one character to have two actors. This ruins the viewer's emotions."

And with Love again Choosing Nguyen Vu as Phuc An's son makes the audience feel it is not very suitable.

Although Nguyen Vu and the film crew tried to create for him the image of a son passionate about art, with a strange appearance with shoulder-length curly hair, when seeing Nguyen Vu and Phuc An acting together, the audience humorously said: "The son looks older than his mother."
