“Ka-52 and Mi-28 attack helicopters and Su-34 aircraft of the Western Combat Group carried out nine airstrikes on the areas of manpower and weapons deployment of the 14th mechanized brigade of the defense units near the settlements of Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Stelmakhovka and Berestovoye,” Sergey Zybinsky, a spokesman for the Western Combat Group, told TASS on Thursday (September 7).
According to the spokesman, the Su-34 bomber carried out an airstrike on the temporary deployment of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army near the village of Peschanoye.
In its daily bulletin on special military operations published by TASS on September 8, the Russian Defense Ministry said that five Ukrainian attacks were repelled in the Zaporozhye region. These attacks were carried out by the Ukrainian 82nd Air Assault Brigade.
Ukraine lost “about 40 soldiers, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, three vehicles, two US-made M777 artillery systems, one British-made FH-70 artillery piece and Msta-B, D-20 and D-30 artillery pieces, Akatsiya self-propelled artillery piece, Grad multiple launch rocket system and Bukovel-AD radar station”.

In the Donetsk region, Russian forces repelled 12 attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defense units.
“The units of the Southern Combat Group, in cooperation with aviation and artillery, repelled 12 attacks by the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 77th Airborne Brigade, the 110th Mechanized Brigade and the 241st Territorial Brigade of Ukraine near the settlements of Andreyevka, Artyomovsk, Orekhovo-Vasilyevka and Vesyoloye in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukraine lost 215 servicemen,” the ministry said.
Ukrainian forces also lost four vehicles, two US-made M777 artillery systems, a D-20 gun, a Rapira anti-tank gun and a Bukovel-AD anti-drone electronic warfare station.
Russian forces near Avdeyevka destroyed a command and observation post of the Ukrainian 110th Mechanized Brigade.
