
On Sunday, more than 50 students of Happy Sky English Center were taken by their teachers to 80 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Cam Ha Commune, to experience planting kumquat trees and learn about the traditional profession of the famous kumquat growing village of Cam Ha in the Central region.
This is the "Community tourism model in the traditional kumquat growing village" by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Phuc and Phan Thi Ngoc Quy, Cam Ha commune, Hoi An city, which has just been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee and announced as the third prize winner in the creative startup ideas and projects in 2024. Nguyen Thi Phuc is also the owner of the Phuc Nguyen Rose startup project with dozens of Rose Tea products.

“Phuc Nguyen Rose started its business with rose products, but on the way to starting a business, I learned that kumquat trees are native to my hometown, so I built a community tour to grow kumquat trees and kumquat products. This is a product that is good for health and helps farmers have a stable output,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuc.
In Hoi An, many people know the brand Hoa Man Vy - handmade natural cosmetics because of its organic product line, organic products that are safe for health and friendly to the environment.
In 2019, Man Vy's project "Using coffee grounds to make natural cosmetics" was awarded the Certificate of Creative Startup Project Idea at the provincial level. In 2022, the project "Black Garlic Yeast" continued to be recognized by the Provincial People's Committee and announced as winning the Third Prize in Creative Startup Ideas and Projects in the province.

Mr. Le Ngoc Thuan - Chairman of the Hoi An City Innovation and Startup Association said that Hoi An is building an ecological - cultural - tourist city, startup ideas have been oriented towards common development, in which, eco-tourism is a product that is being chosen by many tourists and is sustainable. This is a unique feature of the Hoi An startup ecosystem.
As a result, dozens of green tourism pilot models have been successfully implemented in Hoi An; over 60 businesses have signed a zero waste commitment, striving to have at least 70-100 units certified with the Green Tourism Label by 2025.
In addition, in 2023, Hoi An will have 18 products meeting OCOP standards, many of which are 3-4 stars and most of which are developed based on nature and indigenous values.
