This is a forum to raise awareness among members about the importance of green tourism in sustainable development, associated with environmental protection and preserving local cultural identity; applying technology and new technology applications in management and serving the tourism industry while contributing to the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025. This is also a highlight program within the framework of activities to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025) of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The seminar was honored to have the presence of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong; Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government Bui Hoang Tung and representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The seminar attracted about 400 members from units, organizations and tourism businesses.
In particular, the Seminar is also an opportunity to respond to the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, to promote the tourism potential of Hue, a city rich in historical, cultural and natural values, with unique cultural heritages, famous relics and landscapes. Hue is expected to become one of the ideal destinations for domestic and foreign tourists, not only because of the beauty of historical relics but also because of its commitment to developing sustainable, environmentally friendly tourism.

Speaking at the opening of the Seminar, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Minh Duc said: This Seminar has the theme of youth promoting sustainable tourism - creating a green future, including two contents of green tourism and smart tourism. Representing the youth union members of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Airlines Corporation in particular, and the youth of the Government Youth Union in general, we are fully aware of our pioneering and creative role in contributing to promoting and implementing tasks related to green tourism and smart tourism.
The strength of the youth union members lies in their creativity, quick updating with new technology applications, spreading and propagating widely, creating strong tourism trends in the community. Taking advantage of these advantages, young people can build their own ideas and tourism promotion products such as creating videos of experiences, exploring the country, good articles, beautiful images... Through this discussion, the Organizing Committee hopes that the members will raise awareness of green and smart tourism, contributing to the development of key tasks in promoting tourism development. Each member will be a young tourism ambassador, promoting creative and innovative thinking, coming up with many new ideas about these tourism development trends.

Appreciating the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the units organizing the Dialogue today, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized that the Dialogue with the theme of Youth promoting sustainable tourism, creating a green future is very meaningful, timely and consistent in the current development context as well as the future of the country, meeting the trend and goal of global net emissions of 0 (Net Zero). The Dialogue took place in Hue City at a very important time such as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue City; Hue is a city directly under the Central Government and Hue was chosen as the venue for the National Tourism Year 2025. At the same time, it is the time to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, with the pioneering spirit of the youth, especially in the era of national development, the role of the Youth Union is extremely important. For the Vietnamese revolution, the young generation is the leading force, with a spirit of progress, thereby developing and guiding union members to implement the Party's policies and introducing outstanding union members to the Party organization.
According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, sustainable tourism is first and foremost awareness, including concern for environmental protection, minimizing the impact of tourism on the environment, in which sustainable development of natural resources depends on the behavior and management of each person, more than anyone else, the young generation must be the pioneering force, leading the way in building a sustainable tourism community, participating in orientation and building green tourism products.
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong hopes that the young faces participating in the discussion will continue the revolutionary path of "both red and professional", contributing to the cause of building and developing the country in a sustainable and prosperous way, making Vietnam a country with a high average income before 2030.

In the first session of the Dialogue, Talkshow "Youth promoting sustainable tourism - Creating a green future" had the participation of Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Long - Head of Tourism Department, School of Social Sciences and Humanities; Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government Bui Hoang Tung; Secretary of Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Minh Duc; Secretary of Youth Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation Nguyen Trong Thong; Representative of iVietnam Travel travel company.
The talkshow focuses on innovative solutions to develop sustainable tourism in Vietnam, from minimizing negative impacts on the environment to community-friendly tourism development methods and preserving traditional cultural values. Session 2 of the talkshow focuses on discussion and dialogue between youth and leaders to raise awareness, roles and responsibilities of individuals in promoting sustainable tourism.
According to Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu, young tourists are always pioneers in green consumption. The Vietnam tourism development strategy to 2030 has identified green and sustainable tourism as a strategic goal of Vietnam tourism. According to Trip Advisor's research, 34% of tourists are willing to pay more to stay at environmentally friendly hotels, 50% of international tourists are willing to pay more for travel companies that benefit local communities and conservation activities.
In the revolution of rising up in the new era, the youth force must find a way to apply green technology in tourism activities and the economy. Through the discussion, the young generation has evoked the topic of green tourism and smart tourism, which is extremely necessary and important in the current trend.
The seminar was held in response to the National Tourism Year 2025, so youth union members in all units need to be imbued with the guiding ideology of the culture, sports and tourism sector, in which the role of youth is not only to pioneer and take the lead but also to mobilize organizations, individuals and tourists to respond to the guiding spirit of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on sustainable tourism development.
In order to concretize the orientation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Airlines Corporation and the Government Youth Union, in the coming time, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Youth Union of Vietnam Airlines Corporation will proactively develop programs and initiatives to raise awareness of union members and young people; implement propaganda programs to mobilize young people to participate in developing green tourism; support the promotion of typical tourism models started by young people; promote environmentally friendly passenger transport activities, link green and smart tourist areas domestically and internationally...
Within the framework of the Seminar, in addition to discussion activities and experience sharing on sustainable tourism, the Seminar also implemented the Social Security Program with the theme "Shining smiles - Warming hearts". This is a practical activity, demonstrating the concern and responsibility of union members, organizations and businesses towards the community, especially families in difficult circumstances.
