Heritage preservation campaign in the digital world with TikTokers

This campaign aims to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage values, while encouraging creative initiatives and developing digital content to preserve and convey Vietnam's traditional cultural heritage. TikTok, with its media power and wide reach, will be the main platform to spread these conservation activities and strategies to a wide range of users, especially the younger generation.

This is not only a campaign to preserve cultural heritage but also an opportunity to enhance the value of Vietnam's cultural heritage in the current context of globalization and digitalization.

Through creative videos, the campaign will encourage the community to create content that reflects the unique cultural values ​​of each region, while finding ways to incorporate modern elements to make heritage more accessible and approachable in the digital world.

Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Tru - Chairman of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund affirmed: "No country can build a culture without history. At the event, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund and the Department of Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups, the CDIT Institute of Information and Communications Technology, and the TikTok platform signed a cooperation agreement to preserve and promote the values ​​of Vietnam's cultural heritage on digital platforms.

This signing event not only marks an important milestone in the protection of cultural heritage, but also focuses on pioneering initiatives, including: The hashtag challenge campaign #DiSanVietNam on TikTok, calling on the community to create content about Vietnamese cultural heritage; Experience heritage using virtual reality (VR) technology, allowing users to explore historical sites, museums and works of art through digital space; Field trips with content creators to record and promote local heritage on the TikTok platform.

Within the framework of the event, a panel discussion with the theme "Technology, youth and heritage" also took place.

In particular, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund and TikTok will coordinate to organize field trips to localities with outstanding cultural heritage. These trips will help record and create digital content to promote heritage, with the participation of famous content creators on TikTok such as Pham Duc Anh (@ducanh94), Giao Cun, Meo Trai Dat... They will contribute to conveying the unique heritage values ​​of Vietnam to a wide audience, especially young people, on digital platforms.

Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, Representative of TikTok Vietnam, emphasized: "Through the TikTok platform, we believe that the young generation will be the pioneers in spreading heritage values, connecting the past with the present and strongly inspiring the domestic and international communities".
