The second week of January, fourth quarter, Road to Olympia 24 (broadcast on the afternoon of July 21) witnessed the dramatic competition of four contestants: Tran Thi Quynh (Gia Binh High School No. 1, Bac Ninh), Nguyen Duong Gia Huy (Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Trung Kien (Thai Binh High School for the Gifted, Thai Binh) and Nguyen Phuong Thao (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Dien Bien).

Entering the first round - Warm-up, the contestants showed equal strength. Trung Kien took the lead with 55 points, Phuong Thao 50 points, Tran Quynh and Gia Huy 40 points.

The keyword to find in this week's Obstacle Course consists of 11 letters. The first horizontal line chosen has the question: "The symbol of the bamboo tree "firm roots, strong trunk, flexible branches" is the philosophy, methodology and guiding principle of the Communist Party of Vietnam in which field?" Gia Huy and Phuong Thao scored points with the answer "Bamboo tree".

As soon as the first hint corner was revealed, Gia Huy immediately pressed the bell to answer the mystery and gave the correct answer: “Pham Van Dong”. This helped the male student from Ho Chi Minh City take the lead in the mountain climbing group with 110 points. Phuong Thao got 60 points, Trung Kien got 55 points, and Tran Quynh got 40 points.

Acceleration is a highly competitive section that can help climbers quickly level the score or even take the lead with the highest score because just a difference of one second can make a difference in the result.

With the first question, all 4 contestants answered correctly but Trung Kien was the fastest, bringing home 40 points. Meanwhile, Phuong Thao was the only one to lose points on the second question in the field of Biology.

The competition became more and more exciting as all 4 climbers showed good form in this competition, especially Trung Kien accelerated very quickly when using all his abilities and skills.

At the end of the Acceleration round, the contestants' scores had clearly changed and were chasing each other very closely. The scores were as follows: Tran Quynh 100 points, Phuong Thao 140 points, Gia Huy 180 points and Trung Kien once again took the lead with 195 points.

Entering the decisive round - Finish Line, Trung Kien chose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 - 20 points. He answered the second question correctly to raise his score to 215 points. Phuong Thao and Gia Huy had the right to answer the remaining two questions but were unable to score any points.

Gia Huy had 170 points, choosing three questions worth 20 – 20 – 30 points. He answered the first question correctly, finishing with 190 points. For the remaining two questions, Trung Kien and Phuong Thao had the right to answer but lost points.

Phuong Thao got 115 points, chose three questions worth 20 – 30 – 30 points, but was unsuccessful. Tran Quynh and Trung Kien scored points on the first two questions respectively.

Tran Quynh had 120 points, choosing three questions worth 20 – 30 – 30 and choosing Hope Star in the second question. She scored the second question. Gia Huy won the right to answer the last question, but could not get more points.

Final result, Nguyen Trung Kien (Thai Binh High School for the Gifted, Thai Binh) 235 points, won the laurel wreath of week 2, month 1, quarter 4, Road to Olympia 24.

Next is Tran Thi Quynh (Gia Binh High School No. 1, Bac Ninh) with 180 points, second place. Also ranked third is Nguyen Duong Gia Huy (Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, Ho Chi Minh City) with 175.
