In Tay Tuu flower village, farmers have started taking care of lilies since the first days of winter. The flower bulbs are carefully cared for by the farmers’ calloused hands, waiting for the day they will bloom. When the flower buds are beautiful enough, the growers diligently trim, package, and prepare for the journey to the city.
Trucks full of flowers pass through familiar streets such as Phan Dinh Phung, Hang Bai, Thuy Khue, carrying the pure white color through the noisy neighborhoods. For street vendors, each lily season is not only a job but also a unique cultural feature, deeply imprinted in the memories of Hanoi.
The lily season is short, lasting only a month. It would be a shame not to buy a bunch of lilies during the season, because just one small bunch can capture the nostalgic month of April.
As April comes to an end, the scent of lilies fades away, leaving behind a pure beauty and unforgettable emotions. But the flower carts will continue to rotate, the streets will welcome the next flower season, continuing the story of a flower that has become a symbol of Hanoi every April./.
