Wild sunflower season dyes Da Lat mountain town yellow

Lam Dong - From the end of October, the roads on the outskirts of Da Lat city to surrounding districts such as Duc Trong, Don Duong... are covered with yellow wild sunflowers.

The rains have just stopped, Da Lat enters the brilliant autumn with the season of yellow wild sunflowers. This is a wild flower so visitors will encounter it in many different areas from the roadside in the suburbs to the hills of the districts surrounding Da Lat city.

The entire hillside is dyed yellow with wild sunflowers. Some specific routes where tourists can easily "hunt" for the most beautiful wild sunflowers are Lien Khuong highway, Tu Tra - Bong Lai route in Don Duong district, Prenn pass, Tuyen Lam lake...

Quang Da Lat, owner of a photography studio in the mountain town, shared: “This year’s flower season is the same as previous years, wild sunflowers are wildflowers so their vitality is very strong. The flowers bloom from the end of October to the end of December every year.”

Currently, flowers bloom in almost all areas around Da Lat city such as around Tuyen Lam lake, Cau Dat tea hill area, Xuan Tho, Camly airport... Besides sightseeing, sightseeing, and relaxation activities, seasonal flower photography service in Da Lat always attracts tourists, the shooting fee can be from 1 million VND/session.

With many years of experience in photography, Quang shared: "The best time to take photos is in the morning and cool afternoon, avoid the midday sun when the sun is too strong to take beautiful photos. Most of the places with wild sunflowers grow naturally, so visitors can freely take photos, except for some places located in cafes and tourist areas, so you should use services such as buying tickets, buying drinks, then combining sightseeing and taking photos."

These are the photos Quang recently took of wild sunflowers blooming in Hiep An commune, Duc Trong district, about 20km from the center of Da Lat mountain town on the afternoon of October 29.

Wild sunflowers are also known by many other names such as chrysanthemums, mountain sunflowers, wild sunflowers... Flowers with many bright yellow petals, full pistils, flower diameter up to 10 - 15cm. This is an easy-to-grow plant, growing into large bushes up to 2-3m high.

Wild sunflowers are one of the symbolic images of the mountain town of Da Lat. The best way to enjoy the flower season here is to rent a motorbike and ride around the suburban roads during the day. The rental fee is from 100,000 VND/day.
