Hail and whirlwind collapse communal house in Kon Tum

On April 6, the People's Committee of Dak Na commune, Tu Mo Rong district, Kon Tum province said that a hailstorm accompanied by strong winds occurred in the area, causing a communal house to collapse and the roofs of many houses to be blown off. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Militia and youth forces support people to repair their houses.

Accordingly, hail and whirlwinds collapsed the communal house in Mo Banh 1 village; 16 houses had their roofs blown off; part of the coffee area in Mo Banh 2 village was damaged by hail; 2 propaganda billboards were broken. The total damage is estimated at about 200 million VND.

Chairman of the Dak Na Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Thuy said that immediately after determining the damage, the commune mobilized forces to clear fallen trees and ensure smooth traffic on inter-village roads. Militia and youth forces were mobilized to assist people in repairing their houses. The commune has sent a report to the District People's Committee to soon have a plan to support people affected by hail to stabilize their lives.

Currently, the People's Committee of Dak Na commune is urgently deploying forces to review and inspect villages and households living in areas that are directly affected by floods, landslides, and flash floods to warn and mobilize people to evacuate to safe places to ensure the safety of life and property. Regarding the collapsed communal house area in Mo Banh 1 village, Dak Na commune has proactively invited relevant units to assess the current situation to find solutions in the coming time.
