A university takes literature as the main subject in all admission combinations.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Bich, Director of the Information and Communication Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, said that in 2025, the school's enrollment will have some changes in enrollment quotas and admission combinations.

Accordingly, the school will recruit a total of 5,360 students for 37 majors, including a new major: international commercial law.

Compared to 2024, this year the school has reduced its quota by 930. According to Master Ngoc Bich, this year's quota is determined in accordance with the labor market context in terms of occupations, number of lecturers, and training scale of the school.

The school uses 4 admission methods including the 2025 high school graduation exam results; high school transcripts based on the combined scores of 3 subjects in grade 12, transcripts based on the average score of the entire grade 12 year; results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam or V-SAT exam results.

In particular, with the method of considering transcripts, candidates need to achieve a score of 18 or higher when considering a combination of 3 subjects for grade 12 and 6.0 or higher if considering the average score of the entire grade 12 year.

Regarding subject combinations, based on the regulations in the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2025 the school will use literature as the main subject for all subject combinations.

Accordingly, candidates can use 6 subject combinations to apply to each major. Master Ngoc Bich explained: "Literature is not only a foundation subject to learn well knowledge related to theory, synthesis, evaluation and making comments as well as critical thinking. In particular, the language foundation of literature will help students learn subjects related to presentation and communication better".

Specifically, in the group of economics-tourism-management-communication-design; information technology, software engineering, data science, psychology, consider the following combinations: math, literature, English; math, literature, physics; math, literature, information technology; math, literature, economic and legal education; math, literature, history; math, literature, geography.

In the language and international relations groups, the following combinations are used: literature, English, history; literature, English, geography; literature, English, math; literature, English, computer science, literature, English, physics; literature, English, economic and legal education.

According to Master Truong Thi Ngoc Bich, this year, the company continues to support scholarships from 35-50% of tuition fees (25-40 million VND/year) for students in many majors of the school.

Of which, 50% scholarship is for majors in Korean language, Japanese language, Chinese language, psychology, event management, tourism and travel services management, restaurant and food service management, hotel management.

35% scholarship includes international relations, software engineering, information technology, e-commerce, public relations, communication technology, data science, graphic design, multimedia communication.

For students with an IELTS certificate of 5.0 or higher for all majors, the school will exempt tuition fees for 3 English levels of about 30 million VND, and from 5.5, tuition fees for 4 English levels of about 40 million VND will be exempted.
