Mr. Poliansky made the statement while commenting on the Russian attack on the city of Odesa at the same time Mr. Zelensky was there to meet the Greek Prime Minister.

At that time, the Greek press reported that the Ukrainian President's convoy was attacked by Russian missiles, but no one was injured.

Later, according to an announcement from the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian Air Force carried out a missile attack on a hangar at the industrial port of Odesa where Ukraine stored unmanned motorboats for military attacks.

According to Mr. Poliansky, for Russia, these unmanned boats are more important targets for destruction than Mr. Zelensky.

Earlier, on March 6, local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense said it had successfully attacked a Ukrainian "drone depot" in Odesa, right at the time Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited this important port city.

On the same day, President Zelensky and Prime Minister Mitsotakis confirmed that explosions had occurred in the port city of Odesa.

Meanwhile, Reuters news agency reported that the attack occurred about 500-800 meters from where the leaders of Ukraine and Greece were present. The Financial Times , citing a Greek official, said that the explosion occurred about 300 meters from the convoy carrying the two leaders.
