According to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, after the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Nam province, term 2019 - 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province established 4 Standing Councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province including: Ethnicity - Religion; Democracy - Law; Economy - Society and People's Foreign Affairs.
The total number of members of the Board of Directors is 24. The members of the Board of Directors are retired leaders who clearly demonstrate their dedication and enthusiasm in participating in survey, supervision and social criticism activities. The Board of Directors actively and proactively advises and supervises the implementation of Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial People's Council on regulations on mechanisms and policies to support the settlement of mountainous residents in the period of 2021-2025; the Law on Belief and Religion on educational, medical, charitable and humanitarian activities of religions.
At the same time, propose to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to organize 3 surveys on the implementation of democracy in land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement; participate in giving comments on 40 draft legal documents and people's foreign affairs activities with the Lao Front Committee.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Tri Thanh said: “The activities of the Front are very important in the political system with the role of the Party leading, the State managing, and the people being the masters. The Front represents the voice of the people, representing the classes in society. The functions and tasks of the Front are raised through each stage. I believe that after the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will be raised to a new level, contributing more effectively and strongly to the socio-economic development of the locality and the whole country.”
Mr. Thanh also expressed his hope that the role and voice of the Board of Directors will help the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee reflect the breath of life; express its own opinions, demonstrate its mettle and intelligence, and distill and crystallize the suggestions of members and the Board of Directors. Thereby, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will receive within the appropriate scope to have a voice with the authorities at all levels and subjects of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 4 individuals who excellently completed the action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
