(kontumtv.vn) – Promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition, 50 years after the Liberation Day of Kon Tum province, the people of Mang But commune have strived to overcome difficulties, working hard, producing, and studying hard to enrich their homeland.

As one of three schools in Mang But commune, Mang But 01 Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities has five satellite schools in local ethnic minority villages. In order for their children to study in the best conditions, for a long time, Mang But people were willing to travel a long distance of 10-13 km to send their children to study at the main school instead of the satellite school. Going back to the time after liberation, when the weather was harsh, the roads were difficult, and especially hunger and poverty still lingered, a part of the Xo Dang children in Mang But overcame all difficulties, carrying rice and noodles on their backs, walking through the forest to go to neighboring areas to study. That tradition of studiousness continues to be promoted in each student. Teacher Le Van Chuyen, Vice Principal of Mang But 01 Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Kon Plong District, said that over the years, this school has contributed to training many generations of Xo Dang students in Mang But to become successful, helping to supplement the local human resources. “ Students in Mang But are very studious. Especially when they come to class, they study and do their homework completely. The climate here is very cold, but on rainy days, they still promote the spirit of studiousness and attend class regularly. Our school also has 5 teachers who live here, who used to study here and then come back to work here, including Mr. Doa, Mr. Thoi, Mr. Tuan, teachers who must be said to be typical in promoting and maintaining the studious spirit of people in Mang But area ”, teacher Le Van Chuyen shared.

Born in the revolutionary-rich village of Dak Y Bai, not only was he nurtured with patriotism and love for his homeland, A Tuyen was also passionate about studying because he was inspired by stories about the studious spirit of the Mang But people. After months of diligently sticking to class and school, he was selected by the locality to study at university under the selection system in 2010 and graduated from the Advanced Political Theory class in 2020. Having held many positions from the district to the grassroots level, he always completed all tasks well and was trusted and loved by the people. Mr. A Tuyen said: “ It is a great honor to have a policy from superiors to send children of local people for training, and now to be able to work in the area where I was born and raised. The Party and the State have paid special attention to local people like us here. Through my own studies and training in different units, first in the medical field it was different, then through mass mobilization it was different, and then back in the locality it was different. I myself am also passionate and responsible, and I have completed all the tasks assigned by the Party and the State .”

In the 2024-2025 school year, Mang But commune has over 1,000 students who are children of the Xo Dang ethnic group going to school. The rate of diligent students is over 98%, the highest in Kon Plong district. Promoting the local tradition of studiousness, last school year, the rate of students in Mang But commune passing the 9th grade graduation exam reached 100%. Y Bao An, a student in grade 7A, Mang But 01 Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said that every day at school is a happy day for him: “ Students can try to study hard in many different ways. For me, I try my best by listening to lectures diligently, doing all my homework, making study plans, practicing self-discipline and constantly improving myself through exams and tests.”

After years of hardship during the war, the Mang But people today are proud to move forward to enrich their homeland, especially continuing to promote the indomitable and heroic revolutionary tradition of their predecessors to contribute to building new rural areas to reach the finish line by the end of this year./.
