With the news that the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project will start construction in May 2025, people in Van Ho district - the area where the route passes - expressed their excitement and great expectations. The project is considered an important boost, contributing to removing the monopoly of National Highway 6, while opening up new socio-economic development opportunities for the Northwest region.

In recent days, after receiving information about the upcoming groundbreaking of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau highway (section in Son La province), Mr. Thoi and many households in the village were very excited, hoping that the road would help facilitate the consumption of agricultural products and the transportation of goods.

Mr. Vi Van Thoi, Na Ten village, Chieng Khoa commune, Van Ho district, Son La: This land is generally the land that the State has put down, my family is also affected by the road and the resettlement area, my family is very upset, there is no problem, no need to reason because that is land. The land is the land that my family is cultivating, but when the State reclaims the land, I don't know what to do, even my family has to agree, there is no problem.

According to the land clearance boundary, Mr. Cai's family will be subject to the confiscation of 3,000m2 of cultivated land and 200m2 of residential land to serve the implementation of the Expressway Project and the resettlement project for households in the village. In response to this information, Mr. Cai expressed his hope that the State will soon implement appropriate support policies to help people in the project area stabilize their livelihoods, while taking advantage of the development potential of new infrastructure projects.

Mr. Vi Van Cai, Na Cha village, Chieng Khoa commune, Van Ho district, Son La: Regarding the policy, I strongly support the State's policy on this highway, as well as the desire, I also hope that the State will pay more attention to the issue of whether we can migrate or lose our land, we will have a stable economy or receive housing and land support in economic issues as well as livelihoods so that people can do business and have a stable life.

The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project has a clearance length of about 34km, of which Van Ho district has a length of about 30km. Identifying this as a key political task, the district established a Resettlement and Clearance Steering Committee, directly went to the scene to meet, discuss, propagate, mobilize people, and remove difficulties and obstacles for each household.

Mr. Nguyen The Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Ho District, Son La: Van Ho District has implemented independent procedures on the process of land measurement and counting, and is implementing the progress. We are striving to start construction of 4 points at Anh Cu by April 15. In addition, we will carry out the work of clearing the roads along Moc Chau to Hoa Binh and will be determined to ensure that by June 30, the work of clearing the land in Van Ho District will be basically approved and the money will be paid to the people.

The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway (section through Son La province) is expected to relieve traffic pressure, upgrade regional connectivity infrastructure, while shortening travel time and reducing transportation costs. People in the Van Ho district project area also expect the route to promote tourism development of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area (Van Ho district), attract many investors to develop industry and agriculture, especially agricultural product consumption, create more jobs, and gradually improve people's lives./.
