Nha Ho Seed Joint Stock Company, a unit under Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation, with advantages in science and technology, human resources, capital and many years of experience, has produced asparagus for export here with an area of ​​30 hectares, becoming the largest green asparagus field in Vietnam in Nha Ho Ninh Thuan - Vietnam.
Mr. Truong Van Hien - General Director of Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation, said: After considering the evaluation of scientists, the Corporation has chosen to develop asparagus for export and consumption in markets with high income segments. This is a nutritious vegetable and has not been consumed much. The production of organic asparagus by the Corporation will bring consumers a safe organic vegetable product in large quantities.

The green asparagus farm of Nha Ho Seed Joint Stock Company is located in an isolated area surrounded by Cai River - Phan Rang. The Company's clean asparagus, after 3 years of production and processing, has been tested by the Ministry of Health's Nutrition Institute to ensure food safety and hygiene with many criteria, no chemical residue, can be harvested all year round and meets export criteria.

In 2021, the Company started production, this year is the third year of producing asparagus. About 1 sao of green asparagus can yield 5-7kg/day and is sold on the market at a price of 50,000 - 80,000 VND/kg depending on the type; on average, each hectare of asparagus grown by businesses or people earns a profit of more than 200 million VND/year.

Asparagus can be stir-fried, boiled, processed into powder for drinking, food, and beauty. The nutritional profile of asparagus is quite rich with Vitamins A, C, E, K and B vitamins - B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B5 and Vitamin B6, as well as choline, a nutrient related to vitamins. The amazing nutritional profile of asparagus also provides flavonoids, fiber, protein and folic acid. And it contains a lot of minerals - calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, copper, selenium, phosphorus and potassium.

Asparagus is rich in antioxidants, free radicals and has skin beautifying effects. Cooking asparagus by boiling or stir-frying for too long can lose some of the nutritional benefits it can provide to health.
Asparagus is rich in vitamin E, so it is also a source of vitamin E, another important antioxidant. To transport asparagus from Ninh Thuan to Vinh city - Nghe An as well as other provinces in the country, Nha Ho Seed Joint Stock Company transports by refrigerated truck and leaves within the day, ensuring freshness and food safety.
Currently, fresh products are exported by Nha Ho Seed Joint Stock Company to Taiwan, Korea and consumed in domestic provinces; monthly revenue from fresh bamboo shoots is about 2 billion VND, and annual revenue is expected to be about 15 billion VND.

During the period of 2021 - 2023, Nha Ho Seed Joint Stock Company has implemented an organic green asparagus production model in a number of provinces in the South Central Coast region to improve the productivity and quality of asparagus... The model has a total scale of 8 hectares, deployed at 3 locations including: Nhon Son commune, Ninh Son district (Ninh Thuan) with an area of ​​6 hectares; Chi Cong commune (Tuy Phong district) and Tan Ha commune (Duc Linh district, Binh Thuan) with a total area of ​​2 hectares. The total number of households participating in the model is 71 households and 6 training courses have been conducted with 240 participants. As a result, 100% of students understand the organic asparagus production process.
Households are applying VietGAP to cultivate asparagus (technical measures from soil preparation, selection of fertilizers, pesticides, care, harvesting, processing, preservation and transportation; health and hygiene issues of workers, etc.) with clear origin. Cultivation in the direction of high technology and economical irrigation should make reasonable use of existing local water resources.
In addition to the stem part sold for high economic value, the root part is also used to process and improve the quality of asparagus according to the following process: Raw materials (bamboo shoots, type 3 and type 4 bamboo shoots) → Wash → Freeze-dry → Grind into powder → → Finished bamboo shoot powder.
