In addition, there was also the participation of producer Nguyen Cao Tung - the producer of Vietnamese films shown in theaters worth "hundreds of billions" such as I see yellow flowers on green grass, The girl from yesterday, Superstar super silly ... The company 1-All Stars of Vietnam, of which Mr. Nguyen Cao Tung is the CEO, is also a cooperating unit, contributing 15% of the total budget of the film Love in Vietnam, up to 4 million USD, produced by the Indian side.

Love in Vietnam is a film jointly produced by India and Vietnam to promote tourism, life, people, and beautiful landscapes of Vietnam, promoted by both the Indian Consulate in Vietnam and the Vietnamese Consulate in India, initiated from a cultural exchange conference between India and Vietnam last year. The film tells the story of an Indian man who comes to Vietnam to fall in love with a Vietnamese girl and goes on a journey to explore many lands with unexpected details. The film was produced by the main Indian crew, including director - screenwriter Rahhat Shah Kazmi and producer Captain Rahul Bali.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Tung shared: “We trust the Indian film crew because these names have had many films with high revenue in the Bollywood market, and Netflix has bought the copyright for every film they make. Love in Vietnam will have a main cast of Indian stars, while the Vietnamese side will have actress Kha Ngan. This film project was announced at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, received many cooperations in terms of funding, output and distribution, and will be welcomed again at the Busan Film Festival - Korea next October.”

Love in Vietnam will film 75% of its duration in Vietnam, and 25% in India. The first phase will start filming on September 15 in Lac Duong (Da Lat, Lam Dong), and will continue filming in Da Lat during the Da Lat Flower Festival in December. In parallel, filming will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An (Quang Nam), then Phu Yen, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Ha Long (Quang Ninh)...

Mr. Nguyen Cao Tung added: “The leaders of all localities in Vietnam have created the best conditions for the film. Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, led the film crew to meet each province and the provinces are very supportive of this film making program to promote Vietnam tourism. Regarding the filming license, 1-All Stars has represented the cooperation and signed everything. The film Love in Vietnam is expected to premiere in late summer 2025 in theaters in Vietnam, India and the world, then will be broadcast on the global Netflix online platform.”

Cooperation to go further

Attending the workshop “Bringing Vietnamese stories to the world”, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, shared his full support for cultural, tourism and film cooperation between India and Vietnam. He hopes that the proven talent in India of director-screenwriter Rahhat Shah Kazmi and producer Captain Rahul Bali will help the film Love in Vietnam to be successful in many aspects.

Producer Captain Rahul Bali hopes to create a good effect for Vietnamese tourism and cinema after the Love in Vietnam film project and affirms that "he will continue to cooperate in making at least 4 more films in Vietnam in the near future".

A representative of the film company in Vietnam said: “It is difficult to expect Love in Vietnam to be a hundred billion dong box office hit when shown in Vietnamese theaters. The film crew determined that India would be the main distribution market because they have up to 2,000 theaters; and on the Vietnamese side, we have already gained many benefits from making this film. Vietnam is promoted for tourism so that Indian tourists or many other countries, when seeing beautiful scenes in many localities, will be encouraged to come to Vietnam, as well as many other film crews, when seeing this convenience along with the capacity of Vietnamese producers, will promote cooperation in filming stages in our Vietnam.”
