A vendor at Quang An flower market said: "Plum blossoms have the beauty of the Northwest mountains and forests. Plum blossoms last a long time, can last for 1-2 months, are reasonably priced and easy to care for, so many customers love them."

Mr. Hung - a trader at Quang An flower market - said that plum blossoms are just entering the season, the quantity is small, so this is the first import this year. The early plum branches are large in size, the flower buds are plump, the price is quite soft compared to the pre-Tet period. However, compared to last year, the price is somewhat higher due to the impact of the recent floods, the number of beautiful branches has also decreased significantly. "All plum branches are taken from Moc Chau for sale. The early plum blossoms are fresh, the buds are big and bloom beautifully. Each bunch has about 5-6 branches, the current selling price is 150,000 VND", Mr. Hung said.

Besides plum branches, peach branches from the Northwest also start to "go to town" early.
