Located about 180km from Hanoi, Moc Chau district, Son La province has about 1,300 hectares of plum. From late January to mid-February every year is the plum blossom season, attracting tourists from all over to sightsee, take photos and camp.
The typical flower of Moc Chau plateau has similar features to apricot flowers, but is larger, pure white with long, light yellow stamens dotted around.
Plum blossom season comes when winter has just ended, spring is about to come and the weather is a little warmer.

This place has become a tourist destination attracting thousands of visitors to visit and take pictures every day.
According to Nguyen Viet, one of the most sought-after photographers in Moc Chau, at this time, many tourists flock to see the flowers, causing Moc Chau to run out of photographers. "Tourists often have to book a few days in advance so that photographers can arrange their work. On weekends, I can earn 4-4.5 million VND per day from taking and editing photos for tourists," said Viet.
"Because plum blossoms only bloom for a short time, every year my family often takes time to travel to Moc Chau. The scenery of Moc Chau during plum blossom season is very beautiful, giving me a peaceful, relaxing feeling far from the urban area," a female tourist shared.
No need to pose elaborately, just stand next to this flower to get a beautiful photo.
