(Dan Tri) - Water levels on rivers in Thua Thien Hue continue to rise rapidly, flood peaks on Huong River and Bo River may reach and exceed alert level 3.
According to information from the Hydrometeorological Station of Thua Thien Hue province, flood water levels on rivers in Hue are tending to increase rapidly.
At 5:00 a.m. on November 25, the water level of the Huong River at Kim Long station reached 2.88m, 0.62m lower than alert level 3; meanwhile, the Bo River at Phu Oc reached 3.65m, 0.65m higher than alert level 2.

It is forecasted that today, water levels on rivers will continue to rise, with flood peaks on Huong River and Bo River likely to reach and exceed alert level 3.
To ensure the safety of students and teachers, the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province has decided to let students in the whole province stay home from school on November 25.
According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thua Thien Hue province, in recent days, the province has had heavy and very heavy rain; in particular, the Bach Ma mountain area (Phu Loc district) has recorded exceptionally heavy rainfall.
Heavy rain in the upstream areas of Binh Dien, Huong Dien, and Ta Trach hydropower plants is creating the risk of flooding and inundation in low-lying areas, along with the risk of flash floods and landslides.
Authorities of Thua Thien Hue province have recommended that localities and people closely monitor flood forecasts and proactively deploy timely response plans.
