TPO - The resettlement area of Ring Road 3 in Long An province has just had its planning adjusted, changing the construction location from Thanh Phu commune to Tan Buu commune in Ben Luc district.
On the afternoon of February 28, Mr. Le Thanh Ut, Chairman of Ben Luc District People's Committee (Long An Province) said that the locality is urgently completing the procedures and documents to appoint a contractor for the resettlement area of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An.
“The delay in the construction of the resettlement area is due to the province adjusting the planning in Hamlet 3, Tan Buu Commune. Previously, this resettlement area was planned in Thanh Phu Commune, Ben Luc District. This resettlement area is part of component project 8 of the Ring Road 3 project through Long An,” said Mr. Ut.
Accordingly, the resettlement area has an area of 3.5 hectares located near the Ring Road 3 through Long An, with a total cost of more than 65 billion VND. There are 13 affected households, all of whom have received compensation and handed over the land so far.
It is expected that in May 2024, the locality will arrange for 110 qualified cases to receive resettlement plots for the Ring Road 3 project through Long An.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project is a national key project, with a total length of nearly 76km passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An with a total investment of more than 75,000 billion VND.
The project is divided into 8 component projects. Of which, Long An is assigned as the investor of two projects, component 7 (construction) with a total investment of more than 3,000 billion VND and component 8 (land clearance) with a total capital of nearly 1,200 billion VND.
According to Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan, Director of Long An Department of Transport, up to now, Ben Luc District People's Committee has paid compensation and site clearance to 410/414 households, reaching 99%. Currently, there are 4 households that have not received the money due to legal procedures. However, these households have agreed to hand over the site to the project.
For component project 7, which has three construction packages, contractors are currently implementing construction at about 23%, exceeding the set plan. "Contractors of package XL2 are determined to launch the Tan Buu bridge girder of the main route in May 2024," said Mr. Tuan.
