Bung - Van Ninh Expressway opens to traffic through Quang Binh province

On the morning of April 19, the North-South Expressway Eastern section Bung - Van Ninh was officially opened to technical traffic, 6 months ahead of schedule, according to the direction of the Prime Minister .

The project has a total investment of 9,361 billion VND, invested by Project Management Board 6, Ministry of Transport .

The Bung - Van Ninh expressway section is 48.84km long, starting at Cu Nam commune, Bo Trach district, ending at Van Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district (Quang Binh). The route is designed according to the standards of a class 100 expressway, with a design speed of 100km/h, and a design speed of 80km/h in the phased phase.

The early completion and opening of the project is of particular importance in connecting inter-regional traffic, promoting socio-economic development in the North Central region in general and Quang Binh province in particular.

Bung - Van Ninh Expressway is expected to put into operation the main route on April 28, 2025, completing the project before June 30, 2025.

The Bung - Van Ninh expressway project was technically opened to traffic and put into use the main route on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
