Testimony of the man who assaulted a truck driver in Binh Phuoc

A 35-year-old man and his friends went from Binh Duong to Binh Phuoc to play. On the way, they thought a truck was pressing their car, so they climbed into the cabin and assaulted the driver.

Regarding the incident of a truck driver being assaulted, causing outrage in Binh Phuoc, this afternoon (December 17), Dong Xoai City Police, Binh Phuoc Province said that the unit had worked with the man who committed this act.

Previously, through verification, the authorities identified the person with the above behavior as Bui Van Hoang Anh (35 years old, residing in Binh Duong province), then summoned him for questioning.

At the police station, Hoang Anh admitted that he was the one who climbed into the cabin and beat the truck driver on the afternoon of December 15.

Hoang Anh confessed that at around 4:00 p.m. on December 15, Hoang Anh and his friend traveled in a pickup truck from Phu Giao district (Binh Duong) to Dong Xoai city (Binh Phuoc) to watch fishing.

When approaching Ta Be slope (Dong Xoai city), he saw a truck passing by and crushing his car. His friend who was driving suddenly braked, causing Hoang Anh to be thrown onto the front seat of the car, causing him to be injured.

Due to anger and having been drinking alcohol, this person could not control his actions. When the truck stopped at a red light, Hoang Anh opened the door and punched the driver, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong (39 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City). Not stopping there, this person climbed into the cabin and repeatedly hit Mr. Cuong on the head and face.

According to Hoang Anh, after sobering up, he realized he was wrong and regretted his actions, and wanted to meet the truck driver to apologize.

On December 17, the victim also worked with the police to provide information to assist in the investigation.

Previously, a clip appeared on social media recording the scene of a truck driver being stopped and beaten; this clip was quickly shared, causing outrage among many people.

According to the clip, on the afternoon of December 15, a driver was driving a truck carrying goods on Highway 741 through Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province, with a woman and a child in the cabin.

When this car stopped at a red light, a pickup truck passed by, then two men got out, one of them opened the truck door, punched the driver right on the steering wheel, then continued to climb into the cabin and punched the driver repeatedly in the head and face in front of a woman and children.
