From inside a taxi stopped in the emergency lane of the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, a man crawled through the glass window, ran across the street to ask for help and called the police.

Over the past two days, a clip has been circulating on social media recording a blue taxi stopping on the emergency lane of the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway.

From inside the taxi, the man escaped through the glass window.

Despite the danger, this man ran across the highway and climbed onto a car that was stopped in traffic. The man, with a panicked expression on his face, repeatedly asked someone to call the police.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the street, the taxi driver also got out of his car and stood watching the man's actions with a bewildered expression.

Regarding the above incident, on February 5, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 7 under the Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department - Traffic Police Department provided information on the entire incident.

Accordingly, the incident occurred at 5:00 p.m. on February 3 at Km43+300 of the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Tien Giang.

Through verification, the man with the above 'strange' action is Tran Hoang Long (46 years old, from Ben Tre).

On the afternoon of February 3, Mr. Tran Hoang Long was hired by his family to take a taxi from Binh Phuoc province to Ben Tre province.

When arriving at the above location, Mr. Long showed abnormal behavior, hurriedly asked the taxi driver to stop the car in the emergency lane, then ran away.

At the time of the incident, the Traffic Police Team of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 7 was on patrol duty and discovered, chased and detained the man.

Through working with Mr. Long's family and local government representatives, it was learned that the man showed signs of mental disorder.

After that, Mr. Long's family asked the authorities to take him to Mo Cay Bac District Hospital, Ben Tre Province for treatment.
