After Liverpool lost 0-3 in the first leg, coach Klopp made some changes in terms of personnel in the second leg at Atalanta. Salah - Gakpo - Diaz were trusted by the German coach in the attack.
With great mobility and determination, Liverpool entered the game quickly and put pressure on the home team. In the 5th minute, Arnold earned a penalty for Liverpool when he kicked the ball into the hand of an Atalanta defender in the penalty area. The other semi-final match was between AS Roma and Leverkusen. Coach Xabi Alonso's team drew 1-1 at West Ham and won 3-1 on aggregate. Meanwhile, AS Roma beat AC Milan 2-1 to reach the semi-finals, also with a 3-1 aggregate score.
Also early this morning, the 4 teams entering the semi-finals of the European Cup C3 (Conference League) were determined to be Aston Villa, Olympiacos, Fiorentina and Club Brugge.
