The Dak Nong Department of Education and Training has just directed educational units in the area to strictly implement the regulations on extra teaching and learning according to Circular 29; at the same time, make a list of students participating in review and tutoring and a list of teachers participating in teaching.
On February 12, Mr. Tran Si Thanh, Deputy Director of the Dak Nong Department of Education and Training, said that he is coordinating with relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT (Circular 29) regulating extra teaching and learning in the province.
According to Mr. Thanh, while waiting for the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee to issue regulations on extra teaching and learning, the Department of Education and Training requires units to implement a number of related contents.
Specifically, based on the provisions of Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular No. 29, extra teaching and learning in schools must not collect money from students and is only for students who register for extra classes by subject (there are 3 specific subjects according to Circular No. 29).
Therefore, units must refund previously collected amounts for extra teaching and learning for students corresponding to the time when extra teaching and learning were not conducted at the school; make full payment to tutors and fulfill tax obligations according to current regulations.
Dak Nong Department of Education and Training requires schools to make a list of students participating in review and tutoring and a list of teachers participating in teaching to strictly implement regulations on extra teaching and learning.
At the same time, units will review, adjust and supplement the teaching plan/education plan for the 2024-2025 school year in accordance with the actual situation of each school and each locality, in order to maintain and improve the quality of education, contributing to increasing the average score of high school graduation exams. This is one of the contents that the education sector is striving to improve, contributing to improving the province's PCI assessment index on education and training.
Next, absolutely do not relax the organization of review and training for students with unsatisfactory learning results; organize for final year students to strengthen their review for entrance exams and graduation exams according to the school's education plan. Determine that this is the responsibility of schools to help students meet the requirements for each subject of each grade according to the regulations of the 2018 General Education Program.
High school level units (public) based on the actual situation and the results of the first semester exam (school year 2024-2025) of grade 12, conduct a review of students at risk of failing high school graduation to organize review and tutoring to improve student quality and increase the high school graduation rate. Units make a list of students participating in review and tutoring and a list of teachers participating in teaching and send them to the Department of Education and Training.
