On December 15, in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province organized an information session on the Cho Lach Flower-Ornamental Festival, marking this as the first event of 2025 to welcome the "Traditional Day of Ben Tre province" which was just decided by the Government on November 27, 2024.

The Cho Lach Flower and Ornamental Festival will be held from January 8 to 12, 2025 at the Cho Lach District Cultural and Tourism Village. This is a model village in the Mekong Delta selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for a pilot project.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Cho Lach Flower-Ornamental Festival promises to be a festival of tens of thousands of talented farmers at all levels, thousands of ornamental plant artisans... and a meeting place for a community of intelligent and constantly innovative garden farmers.
In addition to the goal of promoting, enhancing the image and linking the value chain of the local ornamental flower industry, this is also an opportunity to honor and commend the achievements of typical gardeners, artisans and farmers.

The festival is expected to attract 1,000 invited delegates from state management, experts, scientists, businesses, cooperatives, artisans, and typical gardeners; about 20,000 visitors and tourists attending during the festival days amidst the brilliant colors of flowers in Cho Lach Cultural-Tourist Village.
According to the Organizing Committee, the festival has more than 100 commercial booths in the fields of: ornamental flowers, seedlings; agricultural material supply services related to the ornamental flower and seedling industry.
In addition to promotional, introduction and trade promotion activities, the Cho Lach Flower and Ornamental Festival also forms cultural spaces, displaying many exciting activities such as: Cultural space of artistic cockfighting in Cho Lach district, 2025; Cultural space of ornamental plants in Cho Lach district; Cultural space of Don ca tai tu; Space of tourism, cuisine and folk games in the garden; Space to display agricultural economic achievements, OCOP products, typical start-up products in Cho Lach district; Space to connect e-commerce in the flower and ornamental plant industry, seedlings, etc.

In particular, the Cho Lach Flower-Ornamental Festival is expected to set a Guinness record for the longest community-created flower-ornamental route in Vietnam (District Road 34, 35, 37, 15km long with various types of trees such as flamboyant, cypress, bougainvillea, chrysanthemum, etc.).
In addition, the festival also features a parade of flower floats designed to symbolize agricultural economic achievements and local brands; a Bonsai-Golden Apricot contest; the launch of the mascot of Cho Lach Cultural-Tourist Village and a set of souvenir products for tourists; the introduction and reception of tourist groups and travel agencies connecting 3 new tour-routes programs announced within the framework of the festival. In particular, the Green Rural Tourism Project will be piloted at Cho Lach Cultural-Tourist Village in 2025.
The Cho Lach Flower-Ornamental Festival promises to bring a "Cho Lach Color" that reflects both vividly, freshly, creatively, and emotionally in the economic, cultural, and social development of the district. It is a process of transforming awareness, thinking, and local agricultural structure strategy: From simple agricultural production to agricultural economy, agricultural services, and towards sharing the cultural values of agriculture that have been formed with the unique characteristics of a land with a history of hundreds of years of making seedlings and ornamental flowers - "Garden civilization", "River civilization".
