The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Decision No. 955/QD-BVHTTDL on the announcement of the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Accordingly, the traditional festival of Quang Trung Temple Festival in Lach Bang and Cu Lao Bien (Bien Son), Hai Thanh ward and Nghi Son commune, Nghi Son town is included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Quang Trung Temple Festival in Lach Bang and Cu Lao Bien is held on the 5th of January every year.
On the 5th of January every year, Nghi Son town organizes the Quang Trung Festival with traditional rituals such as palanquin procession, sacrifice, reading of wishes to pray for the gods and King Quang Trung to bless and protect the boats going out to sea to return safely, catch lots of shrimp and fish, prosper in business, pray for national peace and people's safety. After the ceremony is the festival with sports activities and unique folk games.
The festival is an occasion to commemorate the merits of the "cloth hero", educate the tradition of patriotism, and at the same time raise the sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors and classes of people in protecting, preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage.
