According to the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province, the accident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. the same day at km 59+600 at Khanh Le Pass on National Highway 27C in Bo Lang Village, Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District. On the way from Da Lat to Nha Trang, the passenger car with license plate 43F-003.97 driven by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung (born in 1958, residing at 03 Dao Tan, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) caused an accident, overturning on the side of the road on the side of the cliff.

Due to the collision when the car overturned, 6 passengers on the car were injured and taken to Khanh Vinh District Medical Center for emergency care and treatment.
The scene of the accident was a downhill road with a curve on the left in the direction of the accident car traveling from Da Lat to Nha Trang.
On the same morning, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province coordinated with Son Thai Commune Police to examine the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
National Highway 27C is 121km long, known as the “Road connecting the sea and flowers”, including the Khanh Le Pass section at an altitude of 1,700m, 33km long, winding on the rugged mountainside with many sharp turns, one side is a high cliff, the other side is a deep abyss of more than 300m. In recent days, Khanh Le Pass has been covered in dense fog, affecting the visibility of drivers. During the annual rainy season, Khanh Le Pass often experiences landslides, causing traffic jams.
