Having good looks, a stable job, a good income and the ability to pay for love are such conditions. And material things also play a big role in the stability of a love relationship. Raising children is the same, material things make them worry even more.
Therefore, many couples do not dare to risk giving birth because they know it will be difficult to provide the best conditions for their children.
We talk a lot about getting rich, starting a business, finding a job, but lack the skills to create beautiful love and build a happy home.
Fear of love is sometimes because of not wanting to be tied down and afraid of breaking up. Love affairs are fleeting, easy to come and easy to go, the consequence is the hurt of being betrayed. Not only unattached love affairs are easy to come and go, even the current relationship between husband and wife is sometimes not really strong.
According to court statistics, in recent years, there have been over 500,000 divorce cases handled each year. 70% of them are young families between the ages of 18 and 30, stemming from conflicts due to different lifestyles and environments leading to conflicts and disagreements.
The divorce rate is up to 25%, meaning that for every four couples who register for marriage, one couple will go to court for divorce.
Not being able to find common ground due to a large ego, lack of patience and lack of commitment to "overcome difficulties" in the first years is the reason many young couples take each other to court.
Easy divorce is also one of the reasons why couples do not dare to have children because after divorce, the child will suffer great mental loss when separated from the father or mother.
This is a social issue that needs attention and can be integrated into youth and women's activities. I remember the communication campaign "Building happy young families" launched by the Vietnam Youth Union in 2023 from Vietnamese Family Day (June 28).
There is a great need for courses on love, marriage, pre-marital stage... for young people preparing for marriage. The Union and Association can coordinate to design courses, counseling programs, mediation teams and regularly listen to the sharing of young families. That is also a way to help young people be more confident in love, starting a family, and overcoming the challenges in the early stages of marriage.
Falling in love and getting married is a personal decision, but when it becomes a social reality, it needs to be taken seriously. Should there be seminars and forums to find the cause to guide and support young people to find happiness in marriage, and social stability starting from family cells?
Do you think getting married is a search for happiness or a burden? Please share with us via email: [email protected]. We welcome your participation.
