Lam Son builds advanced new rural commune

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Thanh, Chairman of Lam Son Commune People's Committee, said: To achieve the above results, in the past time, the locality has focused on directing sectors and organizations to continue reviewing the goals of building advanced new-style rural areas in the period of 2021-2025. Accordingly, with the criteria with low achievement rates, it is necessary to focus resources on improving local criteria to build programs and plans in the direction of clear goals, clear tasks, and close to practical conditions. In the process of building criteria, local Party committees and authorities continue to promote propaganda work. Thanks to that, the organization and implementation of programs closely follow the assigned goals and tasks, while sustainably maintaining the results achieved throughout the period after being recognized as a new-style rural commune. Along with the consolidation of the Development Boards of 10 villages, the locality has promoted the internal strength and the role of the people in implementing the 19 criteria of the National Criteria Set on building advanced new-style rural communes.

Specifically, the Front and political systems have integrated propaganda activities in response to the emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", the campaign "The whole people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas...". Thereby, it has created a widespread influence, consensus and a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the residential area. Many movements and models have been widely deployed and strongly responded to, such as: The Commune Women's Union has built a "bright, green, clean" model with the participation of 1,118 members, launched a flower planting model on rural concrete roads and at the Cultural - Sports House of 10 villages, planted 110 trees, creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape. The Youth Union with the model "Lam Son Youth join hands to build the New Rural Area" attracted a large number of young people of the commune to participate and contribute 35 solar light bulbs with a length of 1.2km. The Commune Front supported painting and building houses for 15 poor and disadvantaged households in 6 villages with a budget of 750 million VND... Thanks to the close coordination between agencies, departments and branches from the commune to the village in implementing the movements, it has contributed to the effective implementation in directing and supervising the implementation of each goal and task of each advanced New Rural Area program.

Up to now, 100% of traffic routes have been concreted, convenient for traveling and transporting agricultural products; the internal irrigation system has been invested and expanded, ensuring water sources for irrigation for 610.5 hectares of agricultural land; The rate of households using electricity and electric lighting systems on inner-village roads reached 100%...

Thanks to the effective implementation of the new rural construction program, up to now, the rural appearance of Lam Son commune has been renewed with infrastructure and public works invested in construction to meet the development needs of the locality; 100% of the commune's main roads have been asphalted, 20.5km of village, inter-village and alley roads have been concreted. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction; high-tech agriculture has been focused on, people have actively implemented effective production models to increase income and develop family economy in a sustainable direction, especially developing community tourism models associated with the commune's typical fruit products, the average income per capita has reached 61 million VND/person/year. In the commune, there are no temporary houses or dilapidated houses, the spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved; the rate of multidimensional poverty has decreased to 1.98%; 100% of villages have achieved the title of cultural village; 6/10 villages meet NTM standards, including 3 model NTM villages.
