On June 11, a leader of the People's Committee of Thoi Binh District said that the Thoi Binh District Medical Center had temporarily suspended the on-duty team related to the case of HLĐ (4 months old, residing in Thoi Binh Town, Thoi Binh District). Previously, HLĐ's family sent a petition to the Ca Mau Department of Health and Thoi Binh District Medical Center, reporting that the on-duty medical team at the Thoi Binh District Medical Center was irresponsible and ignored the health of D. when he suffered anaphylactic shock.

"The on-duty team, including 1 doctor and 2 nurses, was temporarily suspended from work to clarify the request of the patient's family. The district's viewpoint is that when the case is verified and clarified, any mistakes will be handled accordingly, there will be no cover-up," added the leader of Thoi Binh District People's Committee.

Thoi Binh District Medical Center temporarily suspended 1 doctor and 2 nurses to clarify the request of the patient's family.

According to the petition, on June 2, D. received the 5-in-1 vaccine at Thoi Binh Town Health Station. When he returned home, he had a fever and cried, and his family took him to Thoi Binh District Health Center for treatment on June 3.

After being admitted to the hospital, the child's condition did not improve. At noon on June 4, the family requested to transfer the child to the Ca Mau Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital for treatment, but the on-duty medical team did not agree because they believed that the treatment was beyond the hospital's capacity.

However, because the doctor did not examine the child, the family carried D. to the doctor's office on duty to ask for help when the child was unconscious. At that time, the only nurse on duty was nurse T. When seeing D. like that, the nurse patted him on the back to wake him up, handed him over to the family, then went into the room and closed the door.

Seeing that D.'s condition was getting worse, the family requested to be transferred by ambulance and also requested medical support to accompany the vehicle, but they were not satisfied. Fearing for the child's life, the family hired a car to take the child to the Ca Mau Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital for emergency treatment.

On the evening of June 11, the leader of the Ca Mau Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital said that the child D. was diagnosed with a grade II anaphylactic reaction, increasing to grade III, thought to be caused by cefotaxime, and a digestive infection. "After the emergency treatment was stable, the child was transferred to the Gastroenterology Department and discharged on June 10," the leader of the Ca Mau Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital added.
