Celebrating 50 years of Ly Son District Liberation Day

On the evening of March 26, at the Central Square, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ly Son district solemnly held the Ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ly Son District Liberation Day (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025).

On behalf of the district leaders, Ly Son District Party Secretary Nguyen Minh Tri read a speech reviewing the revolutionary tradition of his homeland during the historic March days 50 years ago. Thoroughly implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Dong Son District Party Committee, on March 31, 1975, all cadres, soldiers and people of Ly Son rose up to seize power and liberate the entire Ly Son.

Secretary of Ly Son District Party Committee Nguyen Minh Tri expressed his gratitude for the great contributions of previous generations of revolutionaries, and remembered the compatriots and comrades who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. After 50 years of construction and development, Ly Son has gradually changed and achieved many remarkable achievements.

The material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved. Up to now, the average income per capita has reached 48 million VND/year. Many large-scale projects on the island have been invested in and built such as: Ly Son fishing port, Ben Dinh port, storm shelters for boats and ships, fishing logistics services, coastal erosion protection embankments; traffic network, hospitals, schools, etc.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang presented the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the Party Committee, government and people of Ly Son district, for their outstanding achievements in building and developing Ly Son district.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang commended and congratulated the great achievements that the Party Committee, government, army and people of Ly Son district have achieved over the past 50 years.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that entering a new development stage, Ly Son district is facing many opportunities but also many challenges.
