Review of homeroom teacher accused of causing class fund deficit

On June 13, the Board of Directors of Dao Duy Tu High School (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh) said that the school had organized a review and asked the homeroom teacher to learn from experience related to parents' feedback about the "deficit" of the 11D6 class fund in the 2022-2023 school year.

Accordingly, after determining and clarifying the income and expenditure of class 11D6, the board of directors and the parents' association held a meeting to assess the violations and responsibilities of the homeroom teacher.

The school leaders have compared the relevant regulations and determined that the homeroom teacher's case is only at the level of reviewing and drawing experience; he will not be assigned as a homeroom teacher for grades 11 and 12 in the next school year.

According to the school leaders, to tighten revenue and expenditure in the coming school year, in addition to professional education, the school will focus on mass activities and life skills education at a moderate level. Separate revenue and expenditure of the parents' association and those of the students. Limit unnecessary activities and inappropriate revenues.

Previously, Thanh Nien Newspaper reported that after receiving feedback from parents about the year-end "negative" class fund of nearly 30 million VND, Dao Duy Tu High School (Dong Hoi City) verified and sent a report to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Binh.

In the report, the school affirmed that there was no "negative" fund of 30 million VND as reported, but the actual negative amount of class 11D6 in the 2022-2023 school year was only more than 3.8 million VND.

In addition, the school has requested the parents' association of class 11D6 and the homeroom teacher to suspend the year-end collection of 1 million VND (only expected to be collected) to organize parties and picnics for students.
