The People's Committee of Ca Mau province has just directed relevant units to review the content of a clip circulating on social media "accusing" the situation of overcharging at TQT Secondary School (Cai Nuoc district). The person in the clip claims to be Mr. NTG - a teacher at the school.

The People's Committee of Ca Mau province assigned the People's Committee of Cai Nuoc district to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to review and report specifically on the content of the reflection; direct the organization of inspection and handling according to regulations if violations are detected.
The Provincial People's Committee also directed the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of districts and Ca Mau City to strengthen inspection and rectification of overcharging in educational institutions and strictly handle cases of illegal collection to ensure the rights of students and parents.
According to the clip, Mr. G. said that TQT Secondary School charges 50,000 VND/student/year for edu software, while this information can be done for free via Zalo group. In addition, the school also charges 40,000 VND/student/year for exam papers, test papers, and scrap paper, while these expenses have been supported by the Provincial People's Committee.
The person in the clip informs that the school has no right to keep students' money or collect money to buy gifts for teachers on November 20. The clip also mentions other revenues such as class funds, teachers' birthday money, money for organizing March 8, year-end parties, etc.
The person reflecting in the clip estimated that the total amount of money the school collected incorrectly could be up to more than 200 million VND.
