New space, opportunity for Vietnam Internet

The event attracted the participation of more than 500 guests, including representatives of State management agencies, ministries, businesses, international organizations operating in the field of Internet, ICT as well as large domestic and foreign technology enterprises such as VNPT, Viettel, FPT Telecom, Huawei, Netnam... This is an annual activity of the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

At the event, delegates and experts focused on discussing "hot" issues of the global economic situation affecting the Vietnamese economy in general and the digital economy in particular, as well as new prospects and opportunities for domestic digital technology businesses.

Guests discussed current issues of concern and new opportunities for the Vietnamese Internet.

The guests also showed great interest in issues related to new spaces and new opportunities for the Vietnamese Internet, the demands for creativity, and how cooperation between many parties will bring practical benefits to the digital economy...

According to Harvard Business Reviews: “Game-changing technologies such as 5G, AI, and Cloud Computing, are reaching the cusp of widespread adoption. Research from this site shows that: Enterprises are looking to move about 60% of their IT assets to the Cloud by 2025, and more than 50% of enterprises report having applied AI to at least one function in their business operations.

Accordingly, the problem of the current digital economy is not to cut IT budgets, but to prioritize budgets to upgrade IT platforms to increase speed, upgrade security, increase resilience and resource reuse, to promote process automation, exploit data platforms, and continuously innovate IT architecture.

Experts commented: “Vietnamese Cloud Computing & Data Center enterprises have mastered technology, have good growth rates, compete equally with international Big Techs, and are ready to meet the needs of businesses to “go to the cloud” on the path to Vietnam becoming one of the important digital centers of ASEAN”.

At the event, the Vietnam Cloud Computing and Data Center Club (VNCDC) - sponsored by the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) announced the VNCDC Report 2023 within the framework of this year's Internet Day 2023 event.

In addition, the activities of displaying and experiencing Metaverse, Generative AI, DARQ (Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR) and Quantum Computing) technology also bring a new space to welcome guests of Internet Day 2023.
