Children's Festival kicks off at the beginning of summer

President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneer Council Trinh Thi Hien Tran said that the 2024 Children's Festival will be expanded in scale, attracting many units and individuals, bringing an attractive, interesting and meaningful event to children and parents at the beginning of summer this year.

"Giving the best to children is always the desire of the city's leaders and departments, districts in Ho Chi Minh City with special attention, many caring activities, and the expectation of bringing the best environment for children to study, live, play and develop comprehensively" - Ms. Tran said.

Bringing her two young children, Ms. Le Thu Trang (Go Vap District) boasted that she had attended the Children's Festival in 2023, and that her two children, Nguyen Hoang Thong (8 years old) and Nguyen Hoang Thinh (13 years old), both enjoyed it very much. So despite the heavy rain, she tried to arrange to bring her children to the opening night.

"Children's festivals have many fun and useful activities for children. We, parents, always hope to have many activities to pull our children away from the virtual world of phones and computers and let them live their childhood.

More importantly, there will be more opportunities to connect, make new friends, and develop your strengths," said Ms. Trang.

The Ho Chi Minh City Children's Festival is gradually becoming a cultural event for children on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1 every year, also responding to the Month of Action for Children. Along with a series of cultural exchange activities, entertainment, the festival also takes care of the material and spiritual needs of children in the city.

Lasting until June 2, Kids Fest 2024 has diverse experience spaces such as creative science and technology areas for those who love to explore technology.

Next to it is an area for folk games, cultural experiences, physical games, sports, art performances, reading, green living and a dedicated space to share and help children in difficult circumstances.

There is also a workshop called "Being friends with your children" for parents to meet and interact with experts to share about how to raise children; a workshop called "Childhood Colors" for children to create art on many materials, and other activities such as passionate photography, little chefs, books and friends, skillful hands, etc.

The 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Kids Fest "Children Today - World Tomorrow" officially began on the evening of May 31 at Ho Chi Minh City Children's House, kicking off the summer of 2024.

The festival is organized from connecting social resources, aiming at many activities serving children and families. Thereby creating cohesion and honoring the role of family in current social life in the city.

This year, the festival also has a children's theater stage, using the Facebook Filter platform to allow children to participate in the experience and interact with their favorite cartoon characters. At the same time, registering for tickets to Kids Fest 2024 is through challenges on social networks. This is also a new feature compared to the festival first held in 2023.
