Thai Binh strengthens cooperation with the French Republic in many fields

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, gave an overview of the province's socio -economic development in recent times, especially emphasizing the potentials and outstanding advantages in the field of industrial development.

According to information from the Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, Thai Binh currently has a lot of room for industrial development with Thai Binh Economic Zone, 11 industrial parks and 49 industrial clusters, with a total planned area of ​​over 32,800 hectares. Of which, the province has about 2,800 hectares of clean land, ready to welcome domestic and foreign investors. To date, the province has attracted more than 200 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, with a total registered capital of nearly 6 billion USD. However, there are currently no FDI projects from French investors implemented in Thai Binh, most of the cooperation has only stopped at the indirect form.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that the French Embassy, ​​the French Development Agency (AFD), the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and relevant agencies will be a bridge to support the province in promoting its potential, strengths as well as investment incentive mechanisms and policies to the French business community.

Thai Binh provincial leaders pledged to create the most favorable conditions in terms of administrative procedures, infrastructure and preferential policies so that French enterprises can confidently invest and expand their business activities in the locality.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Embassy of the French Republic in Vietnam.

Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam, highly appreciated the efforts and outstanding achievements of Thai Binh in socio-economic development, improving the investment environment and enhancing local competitiveness. The Ambassador emphasized that the relationship between Vietnam and France is currently in a stage of extensive development, established as a comprehensive strategic partnership. This is a solid foundation for the two countries to continue promoting cooperation in many fields, from economy,education to culture and environment.

In addition to industrial sectors, the French Ambassador also expressed interest in cooperating with Thai Binh in potential areas such as education, culture, nature conservation and sustainable development. The Ambassador affirmed his readiness to connect French organizations and businesses to learn about the investment environment in Thai Binh in the coming time.
