Uprace Community Run 2023
This year's fund will be contributed by enterprises: CIMB Bank Vietnam, VNG, Nutifood, Minh Long I and Hoa Binh Elderly Care Company Limited to organizations: Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Association for the Support of Vietnamese Disabled and Orphans (ASVHO) and GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center.
With the message "Journey of Happiness", UpRace 2023 will not set a target for the number of kilometers of the race like previous years. Instead, the project expects the number of runners to be larger, focusing more on experiences and emotions...
Among the three social organizations, this year is the first year that Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has joined UpRace. The Fund's goal is to find resources for a program of 8,000 scholarships for ethnic minority and island students with difficult circumstances in the period 2023 - 2024 (each scholarship is worth 1 million VND).
Ms. Truong My Hoa - Former Vice President, President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, shared: "Participating in UpRace 2023 means you are accompanying us on the "spring journey up the mountains and down the sea" - Your footsteps will follow us to remote villages, with us to remote islands to award scholarships to poor but studious students in all regions of the country".
To increase the spread of UpRace this year, the organizers also said that there will be 3 offline running events in three regions: UpRace Day for the first time taking place in Da Nang (October 15), UpRace Day in Hanoi (October 22) and Ho Chi Minh City (October 29).
UpRace 2023 representative, Ms. Tran Xuan Ngoc Thao shared about the project: "Our goal is not only limited to distance numbers, but also the deep emotions and happiness that athletes and businesses accompanying us will experience on this year's journey. These feelings will be the driving force for the UpRace organizers to continue connecting runners and maintaining this meaningful project for many more years."
