In the first year of establishment, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School won many prizes at the Ho Chi Minh City Olympic Games.

On April 18, information from Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School said that in the 2024-2025 school year - the first year of the school's establishment, out of 30 students of the school participating in the recently held Ho Chi Minh City Olympic competition, 25 students won prizes.

These 25 students won prizes in 10 subjects, with 1 first prize, 12 second prizes and 12 third prizes. In which, the first prize belonged to Luong Mai Trang, class 10A2, in math.

Ms. Tran Thi Hong Thuy, Principal of Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, said that the above achievements were thanks to the efforts of all 30 students participating in the competition and the team of teachers and staff of the school who supported the conditions and facilities for studying. The Ho Chi Minh City Olympic Competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year will take place on April 9, 2025. Each subject will be ranked individually (first, second, third). The percentage of students winning prizes will not exceed 60% of the total number of contestants. Of which, students winning first prizes will not exceed 5% of the total number of winners. Contestants are non-specialized students, students in grades 10 and 11 - maximum 3 students/subject/grade. Students in the city's excellent student team competing in the national excellent student competition are not allowed to compete.

There are a total of 13 subjects, each with a test time of 120 minutes. Candidates will take written tests in the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, history, geography, economic and legal education, English, Japanese, French and Chinese.

Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School was established in 2024 on the basis of reorganizing Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
