Luxury train trip around the world launched

The 59-day, 12-country luxury train adventure will depart in 2025.

Luxury travel company Railbookers says its round-the-world train journeys will return, departing from September 3, 2025.

Travelers will spend 59 days crossing 4 continents, 12 countries and more than 20 cities on the most luxurious trains on the planet. The price of this trip is up to 116,000 euros.

Accordingly, tourists will use the services of 7 of the world's most prestigious trains, including Belmond Royal Scotsman in Scotland, La Dolce Vita Orient Express in Italy and Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in England. In Canada, tourists will board the Rocky Mountaineer train, while in South Africa, they will experience the Rovos Rail train. Maharajas" Express is the train chosen for the route in India, while the Eastern & Oriental Express will take tourists through Southeast Asia.

Passengers depart from Vancouver, travel through the Canadian Rockies and then fly to Europe to enjoy the picturesque scenery of Scotland before continuing to Rome, Verona and Venice in Italy and then to Paris, France. Leaving France, tourists will travel to Budapest, Bucharest, Istanbul and end the journey around Europe. Then, passengers continue to board a 6-hour plane to Delhi, India. Airfares for the Canada - Scotland and Türkiye - India routes are not included in the tour package and must be purchased separately.

After visiting iconic Indian destinations like Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, travelers will board a 14-hour flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. Airfare for this leg is also at the expense of the travelers.

In South Africa, travelers will take a Rovos Rail to Hwange National Park and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Then, passengers continue to buy plane tickets to fly to Cape Town, South Africa to visit Table Mountain, taste local wines and fly on to Singapore. This 13.5-hour journey can cost more than 1,000 euros per ticket.

The Eastern & Oriental Express will take passengers from Singapore through Malaysia and back to Singapore. After that, passengers will have to fly home on their own.

Railbookers' journeys have been described as "a unique experience" but many have called them "too expensive and cumbersome". However, passengers will always enjoy luxurious accommodation on the train and 5-star hotels at each stop. In the cities, visitors will be taken on customised sightseeing tours as well as lavish meals featuring the best local cuisine. Railbookers is now selling tickets.

Passengers do not have to join the entire trip, they can customize the itinerary to suit their own preferences and choose individual rail segments and destinations. The luxury train tour provider said it has received hundreds of calls from passengers.
