Rewarding 2 brave commune officials who saved a drowning tourist

Previously, while on duty to ensure security, order and social safety during the April 30 - May 1 holiday in the locality, two Vinh Trung commune officials, Mr. Pham Van Vinh, Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association and Mr. Doan Van Cuong, Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee, bravely and successfully rescued a tourist who had drowned while swimming in the sea. Specifically, at 5:00 p.m. on April 29, at Ben Hen beach, Vinh and Cuong were on duty when they received information that someone had drowned. When they discovered that Mr. Tran Van Ninh (born in 1991, residing in Son Duong commune, Ha Long city) was being swept away by waves to the sea, the two commune officials quickly responded in time, brought the victim to shore, and provided first aid to help ensure his safety. This is a beautiful act with profound humane meaning, demonstrating the spirit of courage and responsibility, which needs to be spread throughout the community. To encourage the sense of responsibility and courage in promptly rescuing victims, and at the same time set an example and spread the good people and good deeds in the community and the whole society, the Emulation and Reward Council of Mong Cai city decided to award a Certificate of Merit, along with a bonus of 2 million VND/person to two commune officials Pham Van Vinh and Doan Van Cuong.

It is known that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, Mong Cai city has directed functional departments, offices and communes and wards to strictly implement the duty schedule to ensure security, order and social safety throughout the area, increase patrols, control and resolutely handle violations in order to effectively implement measures to ensure absolute safety for the lives and property of tourists and people. Through this, the city government also recommends that tourists strictly comply with regulations and rules on safety at the beaches, wear life jackets when swimming, do not violate and strictly follow the instructions of state management agencies in prohibited swimming areas... to ensure their own safety.
