Inauguration of two classrooms worth 12.5 billion VND in Dien Bien province donated by SHB

The project sponsored by SHB includes 9 classrooms at Sin Chai Primary Boarding School, Sin Chai Commune, Tua Chua District and 9 classrooms at Phinh Giang Primary Boarding School, Phinh Giang Commune, Dien Bien Dong District with a total value of 12.5 billion VND.

According to Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice President, General Secretary of the Executive Council and Head of the International Buddhist Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, National Assembly Delegate, National Assembly Delegation of Dien Bien Province: The completion of the new classroom project demonstrates the concern of the local government and the cooperation of SHB Bank for the lives of teachers and students in this land with many difficulties.

The two classroom projects were started in early 2024 in Phinh Giang and Sin Chai communes - two remote communes in Dien Bien province with unsynchronized traffic infrastructure and difficult travel. Despite many difficulties, SHB always closely followed and urged the progress to ensure that the two classroom projects could be put into use in the 2024-2025 school year.

Attending the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, said that “this is truly a miracle, when a spacious school is built in an area far from the center and difficult to travel. The affection of SHB Bank will be a great source of encouragement for teachers and students of the school in particular and local people in general”.

Sponsoring the construction of primary boarding schools for ethnic minorities in remote areas is an important activity, meeting the learning needs of more than 1,100 students in communes of Dien Bien province, while contributing to economic and social development, ensuring security and safety in the northern border provinces.

“With these two classrooms, SHB hopes that ethnic minority children in Dien Bien province will have the opportunity to study in more spacious and modern facilities. This will be the motivation for them to strive, overcome difficulties and obstacles, continue to nurture their dreams and become useful citizens for their homeland and country,” SHB General Director Ngo Thu Ha shared at the event.

Also at the inauguration ceremony, SHB General Director Ngo Thu Ha and SHB staff presented 2,000 gifts including school bags and school supplies to students of the two schools.

Over the years, SHB has accompanied and supported many generations of Vietnamese students through scholarship programs, school construction, teaching equipment sponsorship and many other meaningful activities. The Bank has always actively implemented many practical activities, providing both material and spiritual support to children across the country.

SHB’s practical actions demonstrate its strong commitment to accompanying society, developing education, nurturing talents, and improving the quality of human resources for the country. In the coming time, the bank will continue to expand support programs to rural, remote, and disadvantaged areas, helping more generations of Vietnamese students have the opportunity to study in a modern environment with spacious facilities, improving the quality of education.
