Opening of Japanese standard maternity dental clinic at Tu Du Hospital

On the morning of March 26, at the opening ceremony of the Japanese-standard Maternity Dental Clinic at Tu Du Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, emphasized that the Clinic is the result of close and effective cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Nagoya City, Japan.

This is a step to affirm and mark the increasingly deep friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, especially in the medical field.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Tu Du Hospital is the final specialized hospital of Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, performing more than 300,000 prenatal check-ups and deliveries every year. The inauguration of the Japanese standard Dental Clinic for pregnant women demonstrates the efforts and dedication of Tu Du Hospital in constantly improving and expanding the quality of medical services, including oral health care for pregnant women.

Mr. Masuo Ono, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, said that the establishment of the Maternity Dental Clinic at Tu Du Hospital is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness and depth of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the world between Japan and Vietnam, especially in the field of medical cooperation and public health care.

The establishment of the Clinic helps to provide comprehensive care for the health of pregnant women, contributing to the prevention and fight against infectious diseases through the oral route, aiming at the goal of "saying no to tooth decay" for Vietnamese children.

The Japanese standard maternity dental clinic at Tu Du Hospital is the result of medical cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Nagoya City, Japan; implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed on November 24, 2023 between Tu Du Hospital and the Japanese Sakura Association on establishing a Japanese standard maternity dental unit, aiming to provide comprehensive health care for pregnant women.

The clinic is equipped with advanced, modern equipment and machinery to provide specialized dental care and treatment for pregnant women and to handle medical issues related to the future oral care of the fetus.

The clinic is operated by highly trained doctors from Tu Du Hospital in collaboration with doctors from Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, applying strict Japanese medical standards./.
