Opening of Angsana – the first 5-star hotel on the island of Quang Ninh

On July 13, at Quan Lan island commune, Van Don district, Viglacera Van Hai Joint Stock Company held the opening ceremony of Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel - the first international standard 5-star hotel invested in the island routes of Quang Ninh.

Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee delivered a congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Tuong Van, Permanent Deputy Minister of Construction; Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel is a resort hotel complex invested by Viglacera Van Hai Joint Stock Company, built on an area of 35 hectares, with 150 international 5-star standard rooms. The complex also has 37 villas with full amenities according to standards such as: four-season indoor infinity pool facing the sea; the largest outdoor swimming pool in the North with an area of 3,000 m3 designed to be connected; rooftop golf course; mineral bath Onsen system; outdoor party venue for over 200 guests; coastal adventure zip line system right on the hotel premises.

The project has a total investment of 1,700 billion VND, currently managed and operated by Banyan Group Hotel Management Corporation (Singapore). This is a unit with experience in operating many international 5-star hotel projects with similar geographical characteristics, such as Maldives, Phuket Thailand, Laguna - Lang Co (Thua Thien Hue). Hiring a foreign unit to operate and exploit the tourist area aims to provide better service quality, attract more diverse guests, especially international guests following the Angsana brand chain.

Congratulating Viglacera Van Hai Joint Stock Company and Van Don district, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: This is a remarkable transformation and action accompanying the province in converting the development method from "brown" to "green" of enterprises.

Previously, when mentioning Viglacera Joint Stock Company, everyone knew that this was a business in the field of construction materials and industrial park development. However, up to now, the unit has affirmed its determination, strong innovation, and transformation of development models when participating in infrastructure investment and service - tourism business. He said that the enterprise's choice of Van Don to invest and develop tourism is the right direction. Because this is a famous locality favored by nature with both sea bays, mountains, national parks and long coastlines, fine white sand, clear blue sea water and cool climate all year round, creating a unique natural landscape that is rare anywhere else. Van Don has also been oriented and planned to develop into a multi-industry, multi-field marine economic zone, a center for entertainment industry, high-class sea - island tourism, and comprehensive services; a gateway for international trade, creating unique, different, modern, high-quality, branded and competitive products.

Therefore, Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel was inaugurated and put into use, becoming a new tourism product, the second 5-star hotel in Van Don targeting the high-end tourist segment. This will contribute to growth, promote the local economy, and contribute to the development of the tourism and service industry in the province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the hotel grounds.

He requested the investor to focus on implementing and soon completing and putting into operation other items of the project so that the project can be operated synchronously, ensuring aesthetics; organizing operations and exploitation to ensure high-quality services, becoming a high-class resort, entertainment and recreation destination, serving domestic and international tourists.

The opening of Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel on Quan Lan Island has awakened the potential for high-quality island tourism in Van Don. It is known that in 2024, Van Don plans to put 14 new products into operation. Along with high-end resort products exploited and promoted to the full potential of Bai Tu Long Bay, Van Don district will also promote natural advantages, develop eco-tourism, experience and cultural tourism products.
