Opening of Entrepreneurship and Book Week 2024

On the afternoon of October 8, at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Entrepreneur and Book Week took place, organized by Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine in collaboration with the Vietnam Publishing Association - Southern Representative Office, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Company Limited, and the Entrepreneur Book Council. The week takes place from now until October 14.

Entrepreneur and Book Week is an annual event, starting from 2020, to promote the spirit of reading and writing books, as well as build a reading culture in businesses and entrepreneurs, contributing to building a team of Vietnamese entrepreneurs with heart - talent - intelligence - trust.

At the same time, the series of events during the week also contributes to bringing businesses and entrepreneurs closer to books, helping to spread the value of books and develop a reading culture in businesses.

Thereby, contributing to improving the management capacity and competitiveness of enterprises.

Mr. Tran Hoang, Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine - Head of the Organizing Committee spoke at the program.

At the program, the organizing committee honored 10 good books written by Vietnamese businessmen in 2024. This is the first year that the organizing committee coordinated with the Business Book Council to conduct voting and award the "Top 10 good books written by Vietnamese businessmen" Award in 2024 from nominations of publishers and publishing affiliated companies from September 5 to 30.

According to Mr. Le Hoang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Book Street - Vice Chairman of the Business Book Council, there are many types of books on the market today serving businessmen and enterprises, and each book has different intellectual value.

“Therefore, choosing a good book to read is extremely important, because businessmen are very busy. Which books are really good, helping businessmen and businesses apply them in their work and management, thereby improving business efficiency and business competitiveness is a question that we are all interested in,” said Mr. Le Hoang.

Therefore, the annual announcement of “Top 10 good books written by Vietnamese businessmen” is like a filter to help readers easily choose books to read and gain experience from the authors’ own experiences and lessons.

Within the framework of the 2024 Business and Book Week, in addition to book launch activities, at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, there will also be a photo exhibition introducing community activities of Ho Chi Minh City businessmen, with the themes "They lived like that" and "50 years of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City" organized by Saigon Business Magazine in collaboration with the Vietnam Publishing Association - Southern Representative Office, Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, and Huong Trang Books.
