On the morning of March 29, at the walking space of Hoan Kiem Lake (Hanoi), the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province coordinated with the Vietnam UNESCO Committee to organize the program "Bac Ninh cultural quintessence - Colors of Dong Ho paintings".

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Anh Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van; representatives of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO; Ambassadors, Charge d'Affaires, representatives of embassies and international organizations in Hanoi; leaders of the Department of Heritage, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Standing members of the People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of Bac Ninh province and Hanoi city.
In his welcoming speech, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan sincerely thanked the delegates, Ambassadors, Heads of diplomatic missions, and distinguished guests for taking the time to attend this meaningful event of Bac Ninh province. Thanks to the support of ambassadors, diplomatic agencies, people, and especially people of countries around the world, Vietnam's traditional cultural values continue to be preserved, spread, and resonate in the common values of human culture.

Proud to fulfill the commitments of Bac Ninh and Vietnam to UENSCO when Quan Ho folk songs were listed, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed: After 15 years of Quan Ho folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Bac Ninh is proud to have preserved, promoted and spread the cultural values of Quan Ho throughout the country as well as countries around the world. The province has had many specific policies to honor and support artisans, develop original Quan Ho villages, Quan Ho practice villages, Quan Ho clubs throughout the country as well as the Vietnamese community abroad. At the same time, there are separate policies to encourage and motivate young people, especially teenagers and children, to participate in learning, practicing and performing Quan Ho folk songs. This is an effective method to preserve and promote this unique traditional cultural value of Bac Ninh and Vietnam.
By organizing the program "The Quintessence of Bac Ninh Culture - Colors of Dong Ho Paintings", Bac Ninh province hopes to receive the support of ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, people and guests so that "Dong Ho Folk Painting Craft" can be included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Protection. Bac Ninh province commits to promulgating mechanisms and policies after UNESCO's recognition to effectively preserve, promote and conserve Dong Ho Folk Painting Craft, as well as to pass on the fine traditional cultural values of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac land and of the Vietnamese people.

Affirming that culture is not only the source of identity, but also an endogenous resource for sustainable development, an important content in foreign affairs activities, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van expressed his pride and appreciation for the unique cultural values of the Bac Ninh-Kinh Bac region, especially the Dong Ho folk painting heritage. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the organization of the event "Quintessence of Bac Ninh culture - Colors of Dong Ho" at Hoan Kiem Lake - the heart of the capital Hanoi, the City for Peace, the Creative City honored by UNESCO - as a symbol of the intersection between tradition and modernity. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, Bac Ninh province and other departments, ministries and branches are making efforts with the community and international friends to make Dong Ho folk painting a World Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection.
Within the framework of the program, distinguished guests and the public enjoyed the welcoming performances: Invite water, invite betel, Spring Festival, Kinh Bac Spring Mashup & Quan Ho Festival, Bac Bling with the participation of artists, actors of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, teachers and students of Dong Ky 1 Kindergarten. In addition, they could visit and learn about the unique cultural values of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac through exhibition areas, introducing products imbued with cultural and historical identity, unique art products such as: Dong Ho paintings, Phu Lang pottery, Xuan Hoi bamboo and rattan weaving, Dai Bai bronze casting, Phu Khe and Dong Ky fine art wood, Bac Ninh Calligraphy Club and OCOP products of Bac Ninh province... This is also an opportunity to attract and increase the number of domestic and international tourists to the capital Hanoi and to their homeland Bac Ninh.
