Multiple accidents on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway caused a long traffic jam. Some drivers had to leave their cars to use the restroom in the emergency lane.
At around 4pm on June 22, two cars collided on Highway 51, under the overpass of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, heading from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Bien Hoa. The accident caused traffic jams for several kilometers in both directions on Highway 51.

At the point where the highway from National Highway 51 is going towards Ho Chi Minh City, it has been blocked and vehicles are being instructed to take another route.
Many vehicles traveling on Highway 51 were forced to follow Highway 51 to Ho Chi Minh City Bien Hoa and Highway 1 to return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh, traffic was congested for a long time due to another accident that afternoon.
Specifically, when passing the Long Phuoc toll station, a truck and two cars suddenly collided head-on. The incident caused the front and rear of the vehicles to be dented, blocking the lane, causing a serious traffic jam that lasted more than 5 km.
By 5 p.m. the same day, vehicles were still moving with difficulty, inching forward. Some drivers had to leave their vehicles to use the restroom in the emergency lane.
