The first round of matches of round 21 is a testament to the harshness of the Premier League. All three big teams on the field, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool, failed to win.
League leaders Liverpool conceded in the eighth minute against Nottingham Forest. Coach Arne Slot's team spent the rest of the match on the attack.
Liverpool completely dominated possession (71%-29%), shots (23-6) and chances (4-1). However, the visitors had to wait until midway through the second half for Diogo Jota to equalize.

Goalkeeper Matz Sels' excellent form with 6 saves helped Nottingham Forest keep 1 point at home. The 1-1 draw puts Liverpool in danger of being reduced by Arsenal after round 21.
Another team in the top 4, Chelsea, also only got 1 point in a dominant position. The home team launched a total of 26 shots (10 on target, 3 dangerous chances) in the reception of Bournemouth. Chelsea scored early with Cole Palmer opening the scoring in the 13th minute.
However, Bournemouth needed just three shots on target to turn things around in the second half. Justin Kluivert converted a penalty to equalise before Antoine Semenyo put the visitors ahead.
Chelsea escaped defeat in extra time thanks to Reece James' strike. The 2-2 draw with Bournemouth marked Chelsea's fifth consecutive winless game in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Man City, despite leading 2-0, could not win the away match against Brentford. Interestingly, all the goals in this match took place in the second half. Phil Foden scored 2 goals for Man City, then Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard helped Brentford regain 1 point.
